Ted is great. Early adapter, very experienced, and sensible.

Coupla notes on the DirectStream.

First, DSD upsampling is defeatable. You are not stuck with it.

Second,upsampling PCM to DSD is not some magic trick, it must be noted you are NOT hearing the original file as intended, and that the DSD upsample is a coloration, no different than bouncing a CD to a reel to reel.

That being said, if it sounds better, then who cares if it is a coloration.
