I've had blue screens and other problems I can attribute to Fidelizer.More useful are Black Viper's recommendations for minimizing unnecessary OS services: see link below.
I too used Foobar2000 which is a great program. WASAPI works well. Try the custom drivers that various external DACs provide; I used Schiit Audio's custom USB drivers which are ASIO-based and don't need WASAPI.
