A question about ripping and errors

Thanks for taking the time to read my post!
I purchased an external BluRay drive for ripping. I started to rip a brand new Pink Floyd Discovery Box set. quite a few of the discs showed errors and it is taking forever to re-read them and get accurate results.

Is this normal. should I be looking at the box set or the burner:
