If a tablet sits on your equipment rack, controlled via BT remote - there's pretty good chance that it's not very convenient to view the screen from your listening seat.
If it's controlled from another phone or tablet - what's the advantage, in your mind, of a tablet over a tweaked-out PC or a streamer?
That's not even touching on the subject of sound quality, which is where tablet will lose to a properly implemented PC solution 100 times out of 100 - unless, of course, you're the lucky owner of a "Perfect DAC"(©®™).
