Sure doesn't look like there is anything on that board that would re-clock anything. Looks like a power supply and nothing else.

Did you not already remotely power your USB device? If so I am amazed this would make any difference at all. Looks like the garden variety three pin regulator implementation to me.

Just noticed the two "i"s which with German pronunciation would be more like "shoot" than shit.
