Find "scrnsave.scr"
(It could be in windows/system32)
When you locate that file create a new shortcut for it on your desktop.
Drag the shortcut into your task bar. Or, if you want, you can view the properties of your shortcut and create a shortcut key. If you use a shortcut icon, you may want to drag it onto your task bar because it won't go anywhere, it always stays in that one spot, and it's out of the way.
Then go into your screen saver settings like you normally would and set the default screen saver to "none".
Now, you either click on your screen saver shortcut or use the shortcut keys.
The other way is to just set your screen saver for 1 minute and just leave the mouse alone for that long. But I find this distracting - I find myself impatiently waiting for that screen to shut off.
Once you get used to clicking the icon as the "last thing you do before you listen" it becomes as automatic as closing the fridge door. You're not even aware you're doing it.
