that SB will not sound at least equal if not better than the CD feeding the same DAC via the same interface.
For ripping I use EAC with FLAC converter plugin. Yes, you have to get FLAC converter separately. With EAC you get both WAV and FLAC file as a result, if you wish so.
I stopped using iTunes long time age, have no idea how much better it is these days, but just the fact that I have to be logged in in order to retrieve CD information from the web is no-go for me.
