The AC voltage regulator (Plasmatron) provides improvements in SQ in any digital component. It will likely improve video on a TV as well. Anything that holds the voltage stable and can respond at high speed is beneficial.
Linear regulators/supplies are usually DC supplies, not AC.
It is varying of DC voltages in components that cause most of the issues in audio components, including lack of dynamics, distortion, noise and lack of focus.
