I have a server computer on a linear power supply. This connects via firewire to a dac with its own ac input on to a hometheatre pre-amp with its ac in. I have a cable box that puts out digital video and sound. I have a plasma tv which is fed only hd video and toslink digital from the cable box. Which of these would benefit from ac voltage regulation? Would one use the linear supply with the ac regulator or instead of it for the server?
