RE: media player for sacd and high res?

Well, assuming you know the issues involved in ripping SACDs and you have a DAC that will decode them, there are many programs which will play DSD and HD files. A program like jRiver Music Center will do any format and is extremely flexible. It may be more complex than you want but there are many alternatives. Good sources for info are:
