Switch (NCH Software) file conversion bug

After converting many WAV files to FLAC using NCH Software's Switch, I belatedly discovered it had changed them from 24-bit to 16-bit. I wrote the developer, and here is their response:

"I have reviewed your ticket and I apologize for any inconvenience you might have experienced, this is a difference in the way the FLAC codec works in Mac systems, our Switch program for Windows does allows the conversion to the bit depth of your choice when converting to FLAC."

I wonder what else is hidden in their products.
