Hi and thanks but i have to ask explanation ... i am quite ignorant on the issue. You say ..." I have run LMS 7.7.3, which Synology provides, and it works fine. "
is this a SW for win 7 pc ?
" The diskstation doesn't have the power to serve high resolution files but it does fine on 44.1k and 48k files. "
I see. Well this is bad but i thank you for this "sad" but important information.
" I used this with a Squeezebox SB3. I have since moved to an old laptop converted to Lubuntu which can run later versions of LMS' successor, Squeezeboxserver and work with more files and processing.
Skip "actually i would prefer to use a pc to stream the files stored in the Synology
I have already a dedicated pc to use it with the nas.
But as i said i have seen that inside the Synology Package Center is available a program called Audio Station that is a wav player and seems to sound fine to me
Have you tried it ?
Thanks again
Kind regards,
bg
