I have run LMS 7.7.3, which Synology provides, and it works fine. The diskstation doesn't have the power to serve high resolution files but it does fine on 44.1k and 48k files. I used this with a Squeezebox SB3. I have since moved to an old laptop converted to Lubuntu which can run later versions of LMS' successor, Squeezeboxserver and work with more files and processing.
