You can save your wav files but if you want meta data including album art it's not the best way to do it.I do this -
Directory structure -
flac/artists/artist_name/album_name/track#_songname
flac/downloads/artist_name/album_name/track#_songname
flac/soundtracks/album_name/track#_songname
flac/compilations/album_name/track#_songnameAfter I make the original recording - 2 wav files one for each side I rip the cdrw with dbpoweramp cd ripper (converting it to flac) to a working directory. Then I use audacity to create tracks - name them and set the track #. Then mp3tag to fill in the remaining tag info - which actually creates the album. **Then dbpoweramp to convert and rename the files and build the directory stub album/track#_songname. Then I manually copy them into the above file structure. Repeat from ** for iTunes.
I have both an flac and an itunes directory tree. One could streamline the above procedure but I have found this to be the fastest way for me to get it done as I'm usually doing several records/cds/downloads at a time.
