The big day came when we took delivery of a beta version of Seagate's 50 mega-byte hard drive. It was about 18" wide, 12" deep, and about 5" high. It took a minute or so to reach speed and stabilize. It's cost was about $5,000... or $17,850 in today's dollars.
We knew it was a new world.
