RE: Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8" as digital source....

Hi.

We've been testing the LG G2 and a friends Samsung Premium Tablet (don't ask me the model name - there are too many Samsungs out there ;) )that was released in spring this year.


We used USB Audio Player Pro, which comes with full focus on USB DACs (own driver).

It passes the Android mixer by, which is quite important!

Otherwise you might have a hard time to get bit transparent data out.
Usually Android limits the volume and everything will be resampled.

I tested my G2 with the iFi Nano iDSD. It was quite a nice experience.

I do think using a tablet or phone is well worth a try.

Squeezeplayer - the Android squeezebox client - you can forget though.
It uses the basic Android stack/setup as most of the other Audio apps around.
