RE: Clueless Newbie with a headache

I stream radio using Firefox and the DAC I had (Metric Halo.) No additional hardware or software. Some stations have a very good feed, like WBGO, a great jazz/blues station from Newark. I also listen to WUMB a lot (singer/songwriter/folk station out of Boston) even though it's sound quality isn't as good. (It's the music, stupid...)

Streaming will not equal a properly set up Marantz 10-B or Mac/Modaferri MR-71, but if your priorities are #1 music, then #2 sound quality, there is lots out there, and it gives you access to stations world wide.
