Nice online cable loss calculator. From the video, it appeared that he was using skinny RG-174 cable at best with SMA connectors.

At 2400MHz and 20-feet with a 1:1 SWR (perfect match), the loss was a bit over 15dB. So his 5-watts of signal is attenuated to 0.15-watts, and that doesn't take into consideration the transition loss in his connector adapters going from SMA to type N connectors.
