DAC to Pre-amp/ReceiverI run Window 7 others 8. Many use Apple. All with very good results.
Ethernet connection is best, but wireless is typically more practical for most. My wireless works great for Pandora, Spotify and YouTube. I use JRiver Media for managing my ripped to hard drive music.
The DAC is where it's at. One should attempt to purchase a DAC equal to or better than the system quality.
