USB Issue with Marantz SA8005

So I finally got around to hooking up my new CD player to my computer via USB. Driver and audio work fine, but I'm getting a loud hum/buzz from the speakers. I'm guessing this is PC noise or ground loop or both? My USB cable is longish (15') and very basic. Would a better cable help or do I need some sort of USB isolation device? In either case, is anyone using a better cable or isolator that they would recommend?
