I just wanted to use the USB port of my Synology NAS hard disk to drive my USB headphone amp. After playing with the software, I realized that it sounded to my ears better than using MacBook Pro + Audirvana Plus or similar programs (Amarra, Decibel, etc.).If you own a NAS, I think the idea could work for other brands as well. So you can give a try with the instructions I prepared below for the Synology, you need some experience with Linux or a friend who has it. Enjoy it and save over expensive USB transports.
