Since I'd not bought either yet, I sprung for the 2.5, but it was a close call and I certainly wouldn't upgrade if I already owned the 1.5.
I'm glad to know there's another satisfied inmate with the 1.5/2.5 DAC. I think it is sweet, musical, transparent and gutsy at the same time.
