There's a saying (well, an acronym) often used in audio: YMMV, which stands for "your mileage may vary." In this case, I think that's decidedly the case - fidelizer is a semi-controversial Windows tweak, as the author isn't totally forthcoming with the exact content of his methods, which bothers some, although not everyone (including me).
Anyway, your particular system may not have good symbiosis with fidelizer 2.1, which is fine, so I'd just move on, if I were you, to other tweaks (cMP shell, different players, your own service optimizations via BlackViper, e.g.). If you're set on trying out fidelizer, you can ask members here (including me - I have 2.0 and 1.6 saved) to send you previous versions, which do tend to have a different sound signature than 2.1, in my experience.
