Windows Vista and the Burwen Bobcat

Today I did some extended listening with Vista and the ole Wavelength Crimson USB DAC.
Straight Vista was definitely clearer than XP, but was somewhat bright sounding. I did notice that Vista has a new USB driver. Using ASIO2KS and the latest Foobar or J. River 12, things were considerably better. Too bad the Vista ASIO-USB driver isn't out yet.
The big surprise of the day was when I used WMP11 and the Burwen Bobcat on setting 3. This combination was simply stunning.
Those of you that have the Bobcat should definitely move to Vista.
Tomorrow I'll compare the Mac/iTunes against the WMP11/Bobcat.
