I'm not shilling for Newegg, but they have the Audigy 2 ZS PCMCIA card on sale for $39 when you use the code “EMC322CREATIVEâ€This is a great card for laptop users, the output is as clean as you can get straight out of a laptop, and the recording specs are phenomenally good for the price and configuration (a coworker of mine exercised it on his audio precision) I've used one for headphone listening with good results, as well as recording vinyl to CD. For $40 you can't go wrong, I'll probably pick one up to play with some Linux room acoustics SW.
