Marty, I'm so, so sorry to hear this. It makes me sick to my stomach and hurts my heart.

My younger sister was molested for a few years (aged 8 - 11, I was 10-13) and while she never went to as dark of a place as you're describing, she did go to a pretty dark place. My family didn't have any real insurance battles to fight (or if we did I wasn't privy to them) so I have absolutely nothing to offer there.

I hope it's a tiny bit helpful to know that she's a happy, healthy, adjusted adult. It took a lot of work on her part (my parent's, bless, them, just weren't equipped to be much help) but she made it through with flying colors.

Again, I'm so sorry she had this happen and that you all have this pain.
