Anybody able to tell me some of the sonic attributes, warmer, analytical, etc., of the Ruby electrolytic capacitors in the signal path (not power supply application)as compared to a Nichicon, Panasonic or similar. Ths are caps based on the old Fender designs.
I am considering using these at the output of an OTL preamplifier where a good film cap is not possible due to the larger value. They will be bypassed with a high quality film cap.
The pieces in now are standard Nichicon units. Any other options recommended?
Thoughts? Thanks in advance for you opinions.
