Many years ago in the 90s, I was able to get very high quality Chinese 12AT7s from Billington, in the UK. Those were gold pin "E81CC" designation. Indeed, I still think those were the best 12AT7s I have ever heard, bar none. You might inquire with Billington; I think they are still in business. One issue with those Chinese 12AT7s: they wear rather quickly compared to NOS ones. Therefore, by yourself a nice redundant supply of them.
