In my linestage and circlotron output stage, I favor the Kenrad 6SN7GT or VT231, but I am running out of good ones, due to the fact that I inadvertently left my preamp running for more than two months, 24/7, while my system was otherwise out of commission due to amplifier mods described below. One of the KenRads went microphonic during that time. I never tried the W's due to high cost. Got a bunch of 5692s, including RCA red-base and GE. Got a few Raytheons; some are good sounding, some not. I will probably have to buy some more KenRads, somewhere.
