I built a single-ended OTL that utilized a 2A3 driver. Output stage was a single 6C33 [cap-coupled cathode follower] - I thought the DHT driver added some nice tone to the mix.
I don't know enough about Allen Wright's SLCF to be able to comment...it does seem that the high current encountered in most OTLs is going to wreak havoc with your typical CCS.
