The Abbys are good speakers, but between the 2A3s and the Abbys I am missing highs and lows and there is congestion on more complex passages. One can tell because the more glorious aspects of the midrange collapse.
I know I am demanding too much of the speakers, the great single driver midrange will do that to a person. I think I am demanding too much of the low watt amplification on these speakers. So I assume that lower wattage OTLs may not be what I need. I liked the Abbys with my (currently not working) Fisher 500C, but it could not compete with SET presentation.
