I don't think one would "need" Zeros with the Quad 63s and most OTLs, Atma-sphere S30s excepted (because they have a rather high output Z even compared to other OTLs). I use quotes because it is always possible that one might subjectively prefer the sonics WITH Zeros vs without in a given situation, so I would never say "never".
