The advice you just got from Brian Walsh is truly priceless piece of advice and probably not obtainable anywhere else. Usually and ideally, people would ask questions BEFORE buying gear they don't know much about to prevent heartaches.It truly hurts BIG TIME when your new purchase "goes South" and there's no one available to fix it.
