Got a chance to listen to these this week at Rendition. Sorry to disappoint, but they sound like every other amp Ralph has designed.. ;-)Circuit is quite similar. but differs from Atma-Sphere products in a couple ways. First, the A/AB mode switch is gone. This reduces complexity and cost. The meter is a real VU meter, and swings in time with the musical signal. The small switch on the front is a range switch for the meter, and not related to bias/dc offset.
The interesting part, is that there is no longer any need to depress a toggle to set the DC offset. Just wind on the small pot until the meter is zeroed. If a tube blows in operation, it is immediately apparent on the meter (does not return to zero).
The contrast in Shred's picture is a little off, do you see that the panel carrying the meter is mirror-polished stainless? It looks pretty spiffy.
