Here's a pic of La Pomme de Terre de Gourmet, VSAC 2008 amp from Paul Birkeland and Paul Joppa's amp building class.
I took out the air gapped Edcor's and put in some nickel pinstriped Robin Hood's and was barely able to squeeze in some BCP-15 plate chokes.
Made a few other mods like putting in a PEC pot and some fancy binding posts.
Moved the input jacks from the front panel to the back.
Decided to go with the brass motif of the Robin Hoods and added the brass volume knob, tube dampers, ground post and feet.
I couldn't figure out what to do with the old RCA jack holes and then it came to me - install a set of brass nipples!
Anyway it really sounds much fuller now, a lot more weight. The bass is really good and detailed. I have close to 50-75 hours on her now. It is a really smooth, great sounding amp with the 6fy7's.
Thanks to Mike and Paul B for the help in converting to parafeed.
Paul B, my humble apologies if I have disgraced your artistic vision with these mods...
