Well... if you have a license or a car you just need to pass a driving test plus some handling tests (short slalom, 8, etc...). Written test are just for neewbies with no license at all.
The license you get will be limited depending on the bike you used during the test. If you passed the test with a automatic gear scooter you can drive only them, if you used a >35kW mechanical gear bike you can drive any bike. And yes, if you pass the exam driving a small scooter you will be limited for 2 years ... ie no big scooters and forget about real bikes.
Young drivers are limited (power and displacement). I belive up to 21 years.
I used an old yamaha 4 cylinders 550cc. 205kg of iron and 56CV. My plan is to get experienced with it and buy a XJR1300 later this year or the next. OK ... ok ... I know what you are going to say.
