Wow! thanks, i really knew nothing about the DS 050, or conventional airgapped SE transformers before today. Your discription of "a really well evolved design that has withstood the test of time", is to me, the epitome of "standard", so standard is a positive discription. i just know that over the years you occasionally have special i-rons tucked away, so that's why i asked.
i'm thinking Bugle 45, or, Seth PP 45...i've got 5504's, and those are perfect with the DS 050, but, i'm wondering if 5504's for 45 PP with S240's would work?
