Plus tungars are cheap and they look very cool. ;-) Big plusses.

Ed is probably right about the hash, but I like MV too and find no trouble with them, even in Preamp power supplies.

There's some tungars that are fullwave, others that have MV inside too. Some good for up to 1000piv, usually at 3-25A (!) depending on variant.
