I (along with just about everyone else here at work) went through the same "boomerang" flu during most of January and February, overall it lasted about six weeks. FWIW, the particular strain was not covered by 2007 series of flu shots, it was a "mutant" strain which I dubbed as the "mutant martian death flu".
