Torroid 12VAC + SS Bridge (35A) + 10mH (Hammond 159ZJ) + 22000uF/63V screw terminals type elettrolytic cap + 6mH (Hammond 155B) + 22000uF/63V as before. I am using custom chokes for the 304TL.

You should get 7.5Vdc or so with only a few mVrms (typically <2mV) of residual ripple. I also tried regulators (LM1084 in current mode) and they are pretty damn good... I am still using them in the pre. But, you know, I like passive solutions.
