hi folks. Several times in the past few days folks have posted up here--- alerting me to emails that they have sent.

I check my email just as frequently as I do the forum. I don't always have time to respond to an email right away--- and if your asking several design questions or other detailed questions--- then often I need to pull folders from the archives and\or think over your question before I can answer. Or I need to check inventory (which is at a separate location).

The more detailed your questions and etc--- the more time you need to give me. Or better yet--- detailed questions can often be handled more efficiently over the phone--- I can speak much, much faster than I can type--- plus now we can refine your inquiry in real time if need bee.

Administrative stuff--- like where is my order--- don't belong here--- they do belong in my mailbox or feel free to call me. And, again, (i'm the same way when I order something) if I quoted you a four to six week lead time---- asking me about your order after ten to fourteen days is just going to slow things down--- not speed up your delivery.

And then there is Murphy. You've heard of Murphy's law. I wish I had a dollar for every time I get an email exactly one day after I have already shipped the stuff--- but now I have to call Kathy (who keeps the shipping records) and then she has to dig through the UPS records and affirm that the order went out yesterday. If your order is late (really late) this is no problem and would constitute customer service---- if your order is not even remotely past (but is in fact earlier than) the lead time I quoted you--- it hurts efficiency rather than helps efficiency.
