In my experience, most Hammonds are operated at very high flux levels (makes a smaller and cheaper transformer), so the electromagnetic and magnetostrictive forces are large.
You can always tighten the screws in case loose laminations are rattling. You can mount it on vibration mounts (make sure they are rated to work at the working temperature). If the line voltage is high, you can reduce it; if there are spare heater windings you can use them to "buck" the voltage for instance.
Or of course you can replace it with a more conservative design - but it will be larger.
