Thanks Mike - I had a feeling it was something like that. Interestingly, a supplier of 'perfectly matched' tubes (who shall remain nameless to protect the guilty) looked at the SETH schematic and recommended his point 22uf cap in place of the 3.3uf. Makes you wonder, eh?

I must say I love the way my SETH sounds - even with inexpensive EH 2A3s - I guess it's the iron shining through....
