Finally (sortof) finished my little ARC project. I built an ARC ST-C-70 or whatever that ARC mod board for the ST70 is, but I decided to stick
the rear end of a D76A in it (four 6550s)... then I decided I would
like 100WPC out of it, so I modified the power supply a bit...
I then put some MQ iron on the output, of course.
I must say, the MQ iron is startling. At 50W, its incredible...but
as I keep cranking it (I have some pretty inefficient B&Ws) past
the 60W rating, the bandwidth really does not seem to fall that
much (if any). I was pretty surprised...at 90W I certainly did not
hear a difference in bass/treb response, even on some very low notes.
Mike, that is some kick-ass iron.

Again, Mike, the iron is just... I am at a loss for words. I need
to get off my ass and design a better amp. Those irons in there
deserve something better than that ARC circuit.
