Suffice it to say that Peerless knew well what they were doing and how their product should be used for optimum results.

Paul Joppa has made several very good posts about plate choke designs and outputs... with discussion of points that you have raised. I have put a hot link to just one of several must read of his posts.

Click on his name and then click to see a listing of his posts... I found several good ones in the first 25 or 30 on that list.
