"Good questions Tre.
And difficult to answer without taking a deep gulp... and then thinking through all (or many) different points and considerations.
One divide in "how to answer" your Q's is... do we want to discuss the issues academically or do we want to tailor our responses to lead to a
moreso practical ideas/recommendations?"
Mike, I think the practical implications is mostly what I'm trying to understand but I would love to understand the issues to the point of understanding whether the reflected impedance (that I think dominates the load seen by the tube in the midrange) is (or needs to be) changed for the sake of changing the load seen by the tube at other frequencies where something other than the reflected impedance may/does dominate the load seen by the tube.
Thanks
