Ciao Keto,DC heaters didnt make all that difference on my amp... well no difference at all actually (I used 6H30 and 6N6). The residual hum I have in my amp is due to the parafeed choke picking up some noise from a PS choke (filament DC)... no room left in the cabinet so far.
Did you have a look to Pimm's desing? mmm I am sure you like it.
