Thanks Mike.I had the chance to take a few measurements this morning. The best I could do to flatten the 10kHz square wave (talking of small ripples here) is to hook something close to 10kR at the 173 terminals. Probably a small cap in series with the R would improve the response even more. 47kR or larger R would not be the best choice here with this amp.
Do I need that R? Probably no: I see those ripples only ont the 813 grid and they are cut off by the OPT tranny. I think I will remove it later. OH! It is not the 173 ringing ... it just feels the signals and amplify a bit those oscillations.
OH! One more thing. THIS 813 REALLY ROCKS! Now using a pair of PSU chokes (20H) to load it and a cheap china OPT (primary inductance should be in the 150H range if my measurements are correct). 2uF paper/oil CCCP parafeed cap. Bias is at 650V/110mA.
What else should I add? Nothing... just listening to the proto. I can't imagine how hard the amp is going to push with its PS100PF.
Ciao
Gianluca
