I got that part and have no doubt that it would work. I would have an issue with the position however, as I believe most listeners similarly would. In some of the experimentation, it would seemingly indicate that one of the issues is the recombinant waveforms from the Left and right speakers. Indeed in posting about the small putty dams creating a different 'sound' seems to further illustrate that issue. It is also very interesting to note the IsoMike baffling that Ray Kimber uses to create his marvelous recordings. In a way it utilizes the same principles but in the beginning of the recording chain.
As evidenced by the early Monster product, for some reason this acoustic tuning device has never really been fully explored. I find that using those principles, however, certainly contributes significantly to the creation of a solid three dimensional soundstage. IMHE, the placement between the speakers allows the listener to space the speakers much further apart with no loss of center fill.
I would highly recommend trying the concept. In actuality you do not need special acoustic panels, although it does help. One of those Japanese style room dividers will work, as would a panel from those dividers used in secretarial pools. At a customer's home once I simply stacked empty component cardboard boxes between the the speakers and while unsightly, it worked.
I would greatly appreciate hearing of the experiences of other should any one try it.
