I have never ssen a stock player/DAC invert polarity (and I have seen at least 30 players and DACs on my testbench).....I am sure there are a couple. Most manufacturers know how to test for it....even the Panasonic DVD players and Oppo DVD players that use a single inverting op amp output stage invert the signal in or before the DAC chip to compensate so the output is non inverting. It is industry standard to have non inverted output. Most all manufacturers follow this. Some modders, however, do not know how to check for polarity and proceed to put out who knows what polarity.

What players/DACs have you checked that actually have inverted phase?
